APPRENTICESHIPS

Joining Drummond & Etheridge Ltd as an apprentice allows you the opportunity to achieve your goals in a supportive environment whilst working with the latest machinery and technology. We have designed an apprenticeship programme (utilising MITO) offering regular classroom sessions to complete and sign off theory components as well as daily on-the-job training with our Senior Technicians, Foreman and Training Manager.

You also receive regular remuneration increases related MITO credit level achievements. We also assist with tooling (including computers), fees and offer an overseas exchange scheme once you are qualified to a John Deere dealership in the UK. Most apprentices will join us in conjunction with their pre-trade at Polytechnic, at which point they will be released one or twos day per week for work experience. Completing the pre-trade and carrying out work experience on-site allows future employees to fully understand what is required of them to complete a modern apprenticeship.

AFTERSCHOOL / GATEWAY / PRETRADE WORK EXPERIENCE

Our dealerships often take on after-school employees, Gateway students through school and Polytech pre-trade students in our Parts and Service departments to assist with daily jobs that help keep our operations running smoothly. Often these employees become our future apprentices and we assist in career opportunities where we can. If you have at least a restricted license, and would like to pursue a career with us then please get in touch with our HR Manager (details below).
